About noga...

Noga Ritter is a London-based singer-songwriter and bandleader whose music blends jazz with global influences shaped by her travels in Senegal and Brazil, her upbringing in the Middle East and her life in multicultural London. Singing in English and Hebrew, her songs weave intimate experiences with wider human and social themes. Whether performing in stripped-down formats or with her full band, her concerts are known for their emotional depth, vibrant energy and strong connection with audiences.

“An immensely promising debut and dizzyingly diverse listen that incorporates textures from all cultures; on this evidence, Ritter is a writer of serious potential ****” JAZZWISE

“Irresistible sound, music that defies any musical genres” John Osborne, JAZZ FM

“With a sound ranging from delicate to lavish and full, we are treated to a heady mix of jazz, kora, Moroccan Gnawa rhythms and Senegalese sabra” SONGLINES

With a big band and an undeniable vocal conviction, Noga’s ecstatic stage performance tempts audiences to give their bodies to a unifying diasporic journey in dance and rhythm.” Rebecca Lea Mastrorocco, Rhythm Passport.

Noga released her debut solo album “IMA” in May 2023 with Galileo Music. Recorded with support from Arts Council England and Help Musicians UK, the album features 14 musicians including Seckou Keita (kora), Byron Wallen (trumpet) and Tony Kofi (saxophone), and was produced by Liran Donin. The record explores themes of migration, belonging and connection through an original sound that is rhythmic, improvisational and deeply personal.

In 2025 she released “Embrace Me”, an intimate duo EP for voice and bass with Bjorn Wray-Gough, exploring love in its many forms, vulnerability and connection. She is currently recording a new album in Brazil at Guga Stroeter’s studio, collaborating with award-winning musicians including Oran Etkin, Ari Colares and Luiz Maranhão. She recently collaborated with Brazilian legend Chico César on a song calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza. She is currently dividing her time between London and Brazil while working on new music and international collaborations.

Since launching her solo project in 2018, Noga has performed extensively across the UK and internationally, including a sold-out show at the EFG London Jazz Festival, and appeared on BBC One TV promoting her album Ima, which she launched with a sold-out 10-piece band show at The Forge Camden.

After studying at Guildhall School of Music and LCCM, Noga has collaborated with musicians from around the world and across genres. Her projects include international touring with her former band Vocal Global, and collaborations with Mike King Collective, The Grand Union Orchestra, Jyotsna Srikanth (India), Sahad (Senegal), Sura Susso (Gambia), Lambrego (Brazil/UK) and Randolph Matthews.

Alongside her performance career, Noga is an experienced workshop leader. She works regularly with Live Music Now and CREATE, delivering music projects in special needs schools, hospitals and care homes. She has led songwriting workshops for children and refugees with Music Action International, and has worked with organisations including the Roundhouse, Nest Collective (Fire Choir) and the Barbican.
